Return to the Shady Dragon Inn (Boris Bonesnapper)

Salutations ye salty dogs, today we have a sailor for you by the name of Boris Bonesnapper. Let’s have a look, shall we?

The Shady Dragon Inn

I’ll preface this one by saying that, in building Boris, I’ve come to a revelation: Barbarian and the Sailor background are PERFECT for one another. Game mechanics aside, wearing armor aboard a ship, at least anything over light, is a recipe for disaster. Unarmored defense plays into this concept flawlessly, and as a Sailor myself, we are pretty damn barbaric. Boris Bonesnapper is a super-legit dwarf name, so he’s now a mountain dwarf barbarian sailor-man (possibly pirate?).

Boris Bonesnapper: Mountain dwarf barbarian 1; Medium humanoid (dwarf); HD 1d12+3; hp 15; Init +2; Spd 25 ft.; AC 15; Prof. bonus: +2; Atk +4 melee (1dd12+2, greataxe) or +4 ranged (1d6+2, handaxe); SA rage, unarmored defense; SQ Mountain dwarf traits, Ship’s Passage, Background (Sailor); AL CN; SV Str +4, Con +5; Str 15, Dex 15, Con 16, Int 10, Wis 12, Cha 8.

Skills, Feats, Proficiencies and Languages: Athletics +4, Nature +2, Perception +3, Survival +3; Brewer’s supplies, navigator’s tools, vehicles (water); Common, Dwarvish.

Possessions: Greataxe, two handaxes, explorer’s pack, four javelins, belaying pin (club), 50 feet of silk rope, lucky charm, set of common clothes, belt pouch containing 10 gp.

Background: Ht. 4’5”; Wt. 175 lbs.; Personality: My language is as foul as an otyugh nest. Ideal: The sea is freedom – the freedom to go anywhere and do anything. Bond: I’m loyal to my captain first, everything else second. Flaw: My pride will probably lead to my destruction.

ARRR, ON GUARD YE SCALLYWAGS! Boris is ready to snap necks and cash checks.

Tomorrow we’ll take a look at Charles the Bold…I know we we’re supposed do it today, but numbers aren’t my strong suit. See you then!
