Let’s Play Some D&D on Twitter!

Let’s do it! I want to run a regular game of D&D on Twitter with some players. We’ll use the hashtag #TDnD, which is nice and short to provide maximum space for tweeting. I’ve checked out the hashtag, and it hasn’t been used in a while.

The idea is that you’d create a character using Here’s Some Fuckin’ D&D, which is a super light system. Players can either randomly generate their characters as suggested in the rules, or choose their race and class. You’ll write out your character along with a picture of your choice, and we’ll start playing!

Since we’re all over on Twitter all the time anyway, it’s easy to play. I’ve found that if I’m playing in an online RPG set on a site I have to go out of my way to go to a site for, I tend to drop the ball.

We’ll play D&D like a regular game, and use the RollDiceBot. Players will be expected to fit their actions within a single Tweet, so it doesn’t become huge and unwieldy.

The game wouldn’t be high tempo. If it’s your turn, I’ll let you know, but I’m not going to nag you every 5 minutes to get your turn. I’m also in Korea right now, so I’m 11 hours away from East Coast time, so I’m not going to be nagging you throughout the day because I’m asleep.

If you’re interested in playing, DM me over on Twitter. Pitch me your character in the DM. I’d love to have you. I can probably handle 5-6 players.
