Update to the DTRPG Situation

DrivethruRPG has removed the “Zak PDF” from their store. I talked in detail about the situation, as well as why I was no longer supporting DTRPG here, but wanted to update you since it’s changed.

I am withdrawing my personal boycott of DTRPG now that the PDF has been pulled down. I know I said I would be boycotting them until Raggi had his whole store pulled for flagrant violations of DTRPG’s terms of service, but a continued boycott after DriveThru pulled the offending file isn’t helpful, especially when I could use my platform to highlight indie RPG creators and marginalized creators, which I will double down on doing here on Dice Monkey. I am going to (attempt) once a week to highlight some projects on the affiliated sites that have drawn my attention that are by smaller publishers.

I had one person pull their patronage from me on Patreon for “going political,” which I did find odd. I’m not sure how it’s political to be opposed to rapists. It seems you’re either pro or anti-rape, and if my “political position” is anti-rape, I’m concerned that his position seems to be the opposite of mine. Either way, I won’t miss him.

Sorry for the snark, let’s get back to talking about games.
