Humblewood in the Mist Announced
Hit Point Press’ beloved woodland fantasy setting Humblewood is getting a new rules treatment with Humblewood in the Mist, a forthcoming Kickstarter that will adapt the setting for Legend in the Mist.
Originally built as a 5e-compatible campaign setting, Humblewood lets players take on the roles of birdfolk and other woodland critters in a lush fantasy world of animal heroes, forest communities, magic, monsters, and adventure.
The move to Legend in the Mist feels like a natural fit. Son of Oak’s rustic fantasy RPG focuses on folktale-style journeys, ordinary heroes, mysterious forests, and narrative-driven characters built around descriptive tags rather than traditional stat blocks. That gives Humblewood in the Mist a chance to lean even harder into cozy folklore, personal quests, woodland danger, and the emotional stakes of small heroes in a very large world.
The Kickstarter will bring Humblewood’s birds, beasts, villages, conflicts, and forest magic into a system designed for fireside storytelling and mythic transformation. Fans of Humblewood who want a more narrative, character-focused way to explore the Wood should keep an eye out for the campaign launch.
