You are medieval mud farmers in a damp, low-status village where glory is for knights, ideals is for people with shoes, and destiny mostly means “the ditch flooded again.”

The players are peasants trying to keep their household alive through one miserable year. You are mud farmers, ditch diggers, goose dodgers, turnip polishers, and reluctant citizens of a village that would very much like to survive until winter. They farm mud, argue with livestock, avoid tax collectors, survive festivals, misinterpret omens, and occasionally save the village entirely by accident.

You are not chosen by prophecy, unless the prophecy has very low standards.

Cast the pigs, trust the mud, fear the tax collector, and remember: glory is just another word for “extra work.”
