#DnDLive: WotC’s New Adventure is “Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus”

Today at the massive D&D Live event, the newest adventure for D&D was revealed: Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus.

Descent into Avernus, will be a 256-page book for players level 1-13 and releases September 17.

Avernus is the first level of The Nine Hells, and is ruled over by Zariel, a former Angel who descended to Avernus during the Blood War to track the enemies of Celestia, before her fall to evil.

We don’t know much more about the adventure at this point, but hopefully with the title of Baldur’s Gate, we’ll get a good writeup of the city like they did for Waterdeep in Dragon Heist. The adventure is being supported by Roll20 and D&D Beyond. There will also be a Platinum Edition released by Beedle & Grimm’s.
